Search phrases with “celebrity weight loss-fast!” or “how celebs lost the weight, pronto!” While fast weight loss is naturally desirable for anyone who wants to lose weight, the healthy rate of weight loss is generally about 1-2 lbs per week. Any more than that and some sort of severe dieting may be going on, prompting a yo-yo cycle of diet-binge-diet-binge. These celebs found a healthier way- losing weight slowly and moderately, making the change stick- for good.
Jordin Sparks. In an interview with Us Weekly, Sparks explained that her results were a tribute to her hard work. “There is no secret. It’s just eating better and working out! It’s definitely a daily thing.” In an interview with Shape magazine, Sparks said that her weight ballooned so steadily over the course of a few years that reckoning with her gain- and motivating herself to lose- became increasingly difficult. However, she finally reached her breaking point, telling Shape that “I just wanted to be healthy. I remember thinking, ‘I’m in my prime. I should be happy and fit.’ That was the moment I decided that changes needed to be made.”
